Nightlife in Bromley Part 2

Come and Have a Great Night in Bromley

This is part 2 of “Nightlife in Bromley” and is especially for those of you who are stuck what to do and where to go from a night out in Bromley with you friends.

  • O’Neill’s
27-29 East Street, Bromley BR1 1QEThis review is a little old, back from 2015, so whether O’Neill’s has improved or got worse, we don’t know. But here is what someone has to say, “This has got to be the last and only decent place to have a drink in Bromley. They often have live bands at weekends which means you have a bit more atmosphere to the usual Wetherspoons type pubs. It has a mixed age range crowd too which helps when you’re slightly over the legal age!
  • The Hop & Rye [CLOSED]
54 London Road, Bromley BR1 3QZThe following review is from someone whose this was their first time at The Hop and Rye, “Went here with my bf, as he recommended it. (He lives locally to it) Was really impressed. Friendly barmaid, made to feel welcome. Food was fab. We went on a Monday and benefited from their double up meal deal. Would highly recommend and I know I will be visiting again. Bf already has lol.” More information about Bromley
  • Greater Than Gatsby [CLOSED]
201 High Street, Bromley BR1 1NYGreater Than Gatsby get mixed reviews. Here is a more positive review, “Came here for drinks on Saturday 28th January 2017 to celebrate my birthday. The cocktails were really great and although they were expensive, it felt like you were getting a good cocktail for your money. Whereas some places, like TGI Fridays for example, taste very watered down. Had a fun night and the live music was great. Will definitely be back! “While here is not so good a review, “I had booked a party here and the booking was confirmed by email. We turn up and the place isn’t even open! It was hugely embarrassing and disappointing for us all as we were very excited about trying it out despite the dubious reviews. “They go on to say, “I contacted them a few days later and requested to speak to the owner/manager (Alex) as I was hoping for an apology and his response was… “Dear Danielle, I fail to see how we can help you and recommend that we do not engage in any further correspondence”. So, although I cannot recommend the actual venue I would advise staying clear if you actually want to plan a night there as they clearly do not care about honouring booked parties.”
  • The New Inn
59 Station Approach, Bromley BR2 7EAThis is what one customer had to say about their experience at The New Inn, “Went there last night for a meal. The pub was fairly busy with a lot of people we knew. We were shown to our table and we ordered drinks. The waiter was aware of my onion allergy and mentioned to me that he would ensure no onions were on my food. “They go onto say, “I chose the smoked trout and asparagus salad which was divine, followed by ribeye steak cooked perfectly. Hubby had a pork pie with chutney, followed by rump of lamb and he commented on how nice and tender the meat was. We had drinks I had a nice Pinot Noir and hubby had bitter. The service was good, the food superb and the staff efficient and friendly. Keep doing what you are doing Joe and your team as its excellent. A very good dining experience. Thanks”
  • The Swan & Mitre
260-262 High Street, Bromley BR1 1PGThe Swan & Mitre seems to get mixed reviews. Here’s a good review from Lee M, “Becoming my regular place to eat, the food is great here staff are just lovely, always seems nice clean and tidy here, no problems at all. “However, this review from JoJo is less complementary, “Came in here on a Saturday night and the entertainment was awful. A girl with a guitar singing depressing songs, me and my friends left.”
