Still looking for moderately priced restaurants in Kent? In Part 2 of “Best Moderately Priced Restaurants in Kent” we continue…

Il Tricolore
49-51 King Street, Ramsgate, Kent CT11 8NP

The Il Tricolore is based in the seaside town on Ramsgate, Kent. This particular reviewer starts of by saying, “An excellent meal in deceptive surroundings,” and then continues, “Six of us dined here on a Saturday evening, opting for a selection of starters and mains accompany by house white and red. We tasted each others food and the overall concensus was hat a grand meal was had by all. The house wine was fine but we opted a 2nd bottle of red and white from a reasonably priced wine list. The service was efficient but not intrusive or over the top.” They conclude, “Would I dine there again, yes and it was good value for money too!”

The Corner House Canterbury Restaurant
1 Dover Street, Canterbury, Kent CT1 3HD

The Corner House Canterbury Restaurant is situated in the picturesque Kent town (or is it city) of Canterbury. Alfies from Croydon, has this to say about The Corner House Canterbury Restaurant, “What a lovely meal we had from start to finish. Visited this 1500 year old coach in on a Saturday evening with my hubby for a meal. Lovely atmosphere as you enter the property and beautifully refurbished. Even the bread they give you at the beginning of your meal was lovely and fresh. We had the terrine and scotch egg to start which were superb, well presented and very tasty with dressing on the salad and side which complimented the starters perfectly.”

Alfies continues by saying, “We shared the platter of chicken, venison sausage and steak which was lovely also. Couldn’t find room for a dessert unfortunately but I must say it was a wonderful meal and would definitely return if I visited Canterbury again. Staff were all really welcoming and friendly and not ott as some can often be, high recommend.”

The Empire Room
10 – 12 Nelson Crescent, Ramsgate, Kent CT11 9JF

The Empire Room is another restaurant located in the Kent seaside town of Ramsgate. Gail from Broadstairs, Kent, starts of my saying, “Second visit but not the last!” She then continues, “My friend had been recommended to try this restaurant and, having been here for dinner before myself, we came for lunch. Neither of us were disappointed and both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My friend had the slow-cooked pork belly and I had the moules. Thinking I had picked a light dish, I was mistaken – accompanied by frites and focaccia it was very filling. Having said that, we did manage a desert – banana cake for my friend which she said was light and wonderful and I had the chocolate parfait and raspberry sorbet which was very tasty. The setting is comfortable and the staff are attentive and friendly.”

Brasserie 32
32 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1AS

Brasserie 32 is in Gravesend, Kent. Douglas says the following about his experience at Brasserie 32, “Initially I avoided this due to not seeing many customers (when the site was in its opening few weeks) but I was very wrong to do this. The Brasserie manages to bring a touch of class and an inspired menu to Gravesend and is the best of its class in the town. The staff are fantastic and have been helpful, warm, friendly and genuine with every visit – one waitress did seem slightly disinterested behind the bar during my latest visit, while no one was looking, but as soon as she saw me looking she realised.”

Douglas goes on to say in his review, “The price is going for competition with London so is perhaps a little high for some, but the food comes in great portions and is really quite delicious. The duck starter was to die for and the steak was just – I melted and went to steak heaven. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of veg and bits that come with the dish.”

And finally, Douglas comments, “I’m also still very touched from my first visit, when the owner, Andrew (?) Came out personally to apologise for having no beef bourginion and offered to cook something not on the menu.”

This particular customer says the following about the experience at Rendez-Vous, “Fantastic lunch and service. Returning again, as regularly as possible now, after having 3 children in quick succession as the food is always tasty, served quickly and they use high quality ingredients. The owner Mark and chef John always make you feel welcome and it really is one of our favourite places to eat in Tunbridge Wells as a family.”
