Local SEO Marketing Tips : Improve Your Google Maps Listing
Google My Business SEO & Optimization
Businesses can now add the services that they offer to their Google My Business Listing. This is an expansion of Google’s “menu” feature which was introduced earlier in the year. This gave restaurants the ability to add food and drink menus to their Google My Business (GMB) listing.
Businesses can add services under the “Info” tab in their Google My Business control panel.

The services editor can be shown below.

Businesses can added multiple sections and within those sections they can add a service item that is related to that section. You can add an item name (up to 140 characters), item price and description (up to 1,000 characters). You have to add at least one item to a section, but you can then add additional items at a later date.
Google My Business Ranking
As this is a new feature, we will have to wait and see whether it has any effect in terms of helping businesses rank better in Google Maps. Each service that a business adds, should, however, be optimised by using related keywords for that particular service in order to help their Google local search.
